		<description>Daniel,

Thanks for the clarification! Since I didn&#039;t see this documented, I had to figure a way to do this on my own. Now I know the correct way to return responses. Thanks again!</description>

		<description>This is an acceptable approach, but shortcircuits a large part of the functionality. A better approach is something like https://github.com/toastdriven/django-tastypie/blob/66832f1f619c49fa861e47d8dbc21475e3ded79d/tastypie/resources.py#L1173, where you pass the correct ``HttpResponse`` subclass to ``create_response``. This helps return your data in the correct serialization format &amp; follows the typical request-response flow.</description>

		<description>I&#039;m hoping to be in the second bucket myself. :)

I&#039;d like nothing more than to give back and support the community. The DFW startup scene is the most active I&#039;ve seen in years. I think there is a lot of potential. It&#039;s now or never.</description>

		<description>Nizam, I 100% agree with this! There are actually quite have been quite a few successful tech startups over the years (Broadcast.com, Match.com, Woot.com, etc, etc) and it&#039;s is extremely rare to see the founders of those companies actively engaged in the current startup community.

I think there are two things that can change this.

(1) Current Dallas founders end up leaving to more fertile grounds (SFO, SV, NYC) make it big, exit and end up coming back to Dallas to invest in and advise local companies.

(2) At least 1-2 startups currently active in the local scene enjoy a big exit, and start re-investing their money and knowledge into the community.

Without at least 1 of these happening in the next couple years, I fear the Dallas scene will end up fizzling out as people move out to the valley and stay put.</description>

		<description>Hi Ed,

Calling jQuery.load like so should POST the data:

$(&#039;#results&#039;).html(&#039;&#160;&#039;).load(&#039;{% url demo_user_search %}&#039;, { &#039;q&#039;: q });
By passing the query param &#039;q&#039; as an array (using the optional data parameter), it should automatically POST instead of GET. For more info, check the jQuery.load() docs:http://api.jquery.com/load/</description>

		<description>Hi,

This is really nice, however i have a slight problem. If i try and parse parameters in the second argument to the load it doesnt work. I want to pass my post parameters up and use request.POST.get instead of request.GET.get.

Any Ideas??

Thanks, Ed</description>

		<description>As soon as i add the extends tag in the template the code stops working while it keeps working otherwise. What could be the reason for that?</description>

		<description>Try
$(&quot;h3&quot;).click(function(){
          $(&#039;html, body&#039;).animate({ scrollTop: 0 }, &#039;slow&#039;);
})

That should work. Although that would make all h3 things take the user to the top of the page. Pehaps give your item the ID &quot;TopPage&quot; then instead of $(&#039;h3&#039;) you could use $(&#039;#TopPage&#039;)

Urgh just found the reply button</description>

		<description>Thanks for this comment. I was also having failures with the __init__.py file as originally described.

Nizam, great post, very concise. My only comment is that I think it would save people quite a bit of time if you could incorporate this comment into your original post.

Thanks again.</description>
